How is the spare removed from the carrier on the Scout Traveler?

Is there a review, video, or post that decribes the process of removing the spare from the carrier on the Traveler? How does the driver get access to the nuts used to mount the spare on the carrier?

I ask because I'm hoping that the decorative plastic cover on the carrier is removable, leaving the spare in place, but reducing the over-all length of the Traveler by a precious inch or two. For someone like me, it would allow me to garage my Traveler without the hassle of removing the entire carrier assembly along with the spare tire.

No, no more info about the tire carrier has been released. Keep in mind it's a prototype. The final version may be different, and not every Traveler will have a spare tire carrier.
