Scout is "scouting" for new sounds to bring to its new rides.

While it may look better, the axles, bearings, brakes and other components need to be able to handle moving that extra weight around. In other words they need to build it from the factory with those specs in mind vs. putting them on as an after-thought.
Has anyone tried changing a 37 in the...
Am hoping that Scout is smart enough to allow customers to add individual options/components vs. forcing "packages" on us. There was a similar thread elsewhere, but just ranting...
I'm hopeful too @PMurphy ! The self-service aspect is highly appealing and why I drove around and '09 jeep vs. 2024 jeep. Too many electronics to break, plus Stellantis has shit the bed in terms of durability and support.
Now I know the new Scout is going to have a shit-ton of EV-related things...
22's seem a bit much IMO, but I do like that Traveler color! I'll stick with a 17"/35" wheel/tire combo any day for some wheelin!
For those that do make it snap some photos if you see any new details!
First off: I'm no suspension expert so below is my opinion based on current knowledge of my jeep and 4 wheeling.
First a quick Google/AI search can tell you all of the technical differences between these two components so no need to dive into that, but I feel it boils down to 2 things:
1...
OR Scouts just sending out random emails luring us into thinking we're getting exclusive access, denies us, then sees who posts on the forums about it
I got the invite, however after filling out the survey I didn't meet their requirements. Guess I'm just not diverse enough...
More details: this was an "exclusive" offer to some registrants or forum members, not sure how they chose their criteria for making the offer, but clearly they have my...
At this point: carefully 😜
Gotta wait for full release before we know, but it looks like you release a gate before you can get to it I hope it's manual and not some electronic lock.
If it's like the Traveler then yeah that's the Harvester fill. The NACS and related ports are on the driver side rear quarter panel below the sidelight.
I doubt they'd let anyone sit in it, they'd be too tempted to mess with gauges, switches, screens, you name it. These are still prototypes and as awesome as they look probably fragile as all get out. They look beefy AF tho, can wait to get my hands on a prod one in that red/copper color with the...
Probably the angle of the photo more than anything. Don't sweat it until you see it in person and drive it! Sometimes you just have to feel it vs. look at it...
Totally Agree - if it's an engineer's goal to reduce unsprung mass, Scout's essentially adding more with the EREV generator on there. Am hoping they'll get some redesign but I'm no engineer...
I like the 18's vs. 20's; better for 4-wheeling. Bumpers are nice, not overly garish and I like the integrated winch. That front skid plate...so beefy and far better than plastic (as it looks like metal to me!).
edit: that front bumper looks more plastic than metal now that I've zoomed in a...
I love the integrated winch and it's subtlety, I don't need anything garish on the front screaming "look at me!!!". Would love to see some undercarriage armor vs. that plastic but time will tell. Can't wait to take this beast off-road!
I don't think they have any fully functional vehicles. All of these are prototypes or test mules! The one that was drivable cost over a million to prototype according to Koegh, basically told Leno not to jack out up :?
