Not just Florida, all across the country, Calif has a huge solar industry, the Governor has said the State solar credit will remain at least. There are huge solar farms that will lose investment and expansion funds, thousands will be put out of work and many solar companies will go out of business, all to please the oil industry and line tRumps pockets. But makes no sense killing what works no solar credits in Florida will decimate the industry.
Nobody said anything about $7500 breaking anyone, but it was always an incentive and a consideration when thinking about an EV. And the Federal 30% credit on Solar is huge!, I received a total of $12K between State (PUC) and Federal tax credits, was a major decision in going solar on my house. I am more concerned about the thousands that will be fired when all of the solar and wind energy companies go belly up. This applies to HVAC, Water heaters, and all of the energy saving additions to homes also. Domino effect will be big.I don't think anyone should be buying a new vehicle if $7500 is going to break them.
The percentage of new vehicle buyers that are $7500 away from bankruptcy is likely quite small. The percentage of new vehicle buyers whose choice is affected by a $7500 price increase is much higherI don't think anyone should be buying a new vehicle if $7500 is going to break them.

It’s not an easy task to create new vehicles while honoring the heritage of their predecessors from 45 years ago. But that’s what the designers at Scout Motors have done. They’ve balanced nostalgia with modernity, preserving iconic design elements while creating something fresh and relevant for today’s market.
The reveal of the new Scout® Traveler™ SUV and Scout® Terra™ truck concepts in October 2024 attracted global attention. Blending rugged off-road capability with distinctive style, the vehicles got a near-universal thumbs-up from journalists and car enthusiasts alike.
But behind the scenes, the project presented serious challenges for the team in the Novi, Michigan design studio. After all, the first Scout 80™ was the archetype of the modern SUV. The revival of the brand demanded more than just an homage to the past: it needed a bold step forward. The question was: how?
To find out more, we set up the cameras and sat down with three of the designers charged with creating a new future for Scout Motors: Chief Design Officer Chris Benjamin, VP of Exterior Design Jordan Meadows, and Chief Exterior Designer Taylor Langhals.

“From a design perspective, I wanted to capture the magic of the original Scouts,” says Benjamin, “but not do something that was a copy, or just a retro statement.”
It’s a sentiment echoed by Langhals. “It’s important to tie back to the heritage. The original cars had this unique proportion—set back on the wheels—and it gave them a powerful stance that creates this unique silhouette.”
A clean sheet of paper can be intimidating, but in the right hands, it’s also strangely freeing. “Things aren’t rigid, hard, or dogmatic,” says Meadows. “We have a sense of structure and toughness in the car—but it’s executed in a way that makes it very, very friendly.”

Earlier posted design video in case you missed it:
TEN years ago I was waiting out and thru my chemo,,, I'll take waiting for a super nice vehicle like this any time instead..
I got bombarded, never had any before.
Woke up, stretched, went numb,, paralyzed.
4 hour window to get to a properly equipped hospital, back to normal in under an hour.
A day in the ICU I saw and learned it can happen to anyone at any time.
LFP is Lithium, Solid State is coming,For me I wonder if and when Solid State or LFP or some other battery tech. Could manufacture offer battery upgrades you could swap the lithium for solid state power pack for 15 k finance it or pay it outright now you have a 600 mile EV with low miles you don't take a big depreciation hit hold onto it for 7 / 8 yrs by then maybe we get an infusion of commonsense
I did not get that from a teacher, I got it from history, i.e., when it actually happened.I guess we all had different teachers
