Why doesn't Scout email updates like this to reservation holders? Or when they post new YouTube videos? They are putting out high production value videos, but unless you search them out, they are not seen. The last video they put out 3 weeks ago has 3,400 views.

From Jamie@Scout : We have moved all of our reservation holders over to our new CRM system and email communications should improve significantly and be coming more frequently. That said, we used the new system in December and you should have received a Holiday email from us.

As a 2020 Ford Bronco reservation holder Ford sent me several gifts from a Hammock to a Bronco Flag. As a 2021 Tesla CyberTruck reservation holder, Tesla sent me nothing. Some auto manufacturers are just built different.

I did not (receive a holiday greeting) for what it's worth...

Me neither. Aside from the initial email when we reserved, we have not received a single "personal" email from Scout.
Same here, unfortunately.

And that was just a new CRM system.... now to build a brand new car from scratch :-0

Slate sent me 2 different concept sketches via mail.

They are going to start selling their 2027 models end of this year!

Scout better put some "EV power" into production!

Nice to see pictures, but there is no way that plant is going to ship cars to consumers in 2026. And I hope they don't do the R1S approach the first year... get them mostly built and then finish them in the service centers via a stream of callbacks. Anytime in 2027 works for me, but some clarity would be nice.

Not sure where 2026 came from, Scout states 2027. Says so right on their website. Which BTW has changed a bit from the last time I visited.

I thought they’ve been saying late 2027, which sounds right if everything happens in a perfect world. Gut feeling says early 2028 (at least getting MY car..). I just want a car that has software that WORKS. Unlike the half-baked mess in my Fisker. I don’t want to be fiskered again. Henrik Fisker and wife should be pilloried

I might have misunderstood early on. I thought the said they were going to ship 2027 models in late 2026. 2028 models in late 2027 might be more realistic. We already know VW is behind in their adaptations of the rivian software platform, and while scout should be a simpler port, harvester poses a whole new feature set. I'm guessing picking the battery later rather than earlier also has advantages. The flip side is that real fixed cash costs are starting to mount.

Agree on wanting something that works... Not an advanced tech demo project.

Speaking of "special emails from Scout" - I just received the "Notes from the Field" email with all sorts of cool links about peeps with Scouts (community), an old Road Heritage book and some info on the current Scouts (spoiler: nothing new). Seems the CRM system is working if that's their intent.

Here's a link to their blog: https://blog.scoutmotors.com/
