When can we expect real specs?

Using Jaguar as an example, the F-Pace took 3.5 years to go from an idea to a reality. The configurator for that car came online about 10 months before the first deliveries. I stumbled upon it when researching sporty SUVs for the wife when it first came online. And it wasn’t all there yet as far...

Power Rear Glass in the Liftgate

Just today I had to go across town to buy 5 lengths of 10’ Superstrut. Lots of traffic too. Using my Fisker was so convenient with the roll down back window and no gas used. I could easily carry 12’ if I wanted. If I would have had to use my Promaster, well that would have definitely cost me a...

Are you still a Scout buyer without $7500 EV tax credit?

Likewise. The tax credit is just icing on the cake if it were to happen but I’m pretty much not planning on it. When I got my Fisker, I ended up owing no taxes, so the tax credit didnt mean squat- I can’t deduct $7500 from $0 😕. Anyway, you only live once-if it turns out to be as cool as we...

Power Rear Glass in the Liftgate

Absolutely agree. Having a back window that can roll down in my lowly Fisker is awesome. I can go to the lumber store and easily carry a 10’ long board or many boards sticking out the back so I don’t have to take my stinkin van. That is one thing my Fisker has over my Defender…😕.

    2027 Scout Reservation Deposits List - Tracker & Stats 📋 📊

Ah, by your post, I realized that the color pie charts (on page 1) are updated daily - I didn’t know that. I’m surprised that only 16% are going for the EV only. Rumor has it that Chris Stapleton is going full BEV.

    New sounds from old Scouts

More power to them. I hope they make some nice warm sounds. Sampling technology has been around for decades. There’s no reason why more cars can’t do this, it’s very easy. The sounds that my Defender has for chimes and warnings are downright goofy sounding, and can’t come close to matching the...

2026 Cayenne EV Debut. Most Powerful Production Porsche Ever

The one thing that I can’t understand is the need for so much power and speed. They say there will be an off road version. Do people over 30 really whomp the juice pedal and use those 0 to warp speed velocities? Ive never been a pedal to the metal guy unless passing the annoying Prius or...

New Rival: 2026 Jeep Recon Revealed

I’ve always liked Jeeps, had a Comanchee pickup that I loved until it was stolen and totaled…. But just my opinion the Scout looks way cooler…. Did someone mention range? 😜

Audi to build a luxury Off-Roader SUV (Hybrid EREV range-extender) on Scout platform

Probably not. We had such a bad experience with the Q8 and the dealership that it has forever tarnished any future thinking on purchasing another Audi. The dealership were a bunch of ego driven douchebags that all, especially the service manager, thought “our cars are the greatest things ever...

Audi to build a luxury Off-Roader SUV (Hybrid EREV range-extender) on Scout platform

That is interesting. Audi could build anything, even some sort of design based on their Activesphere SUV/Truck concept. Could be cool looking. For my wife and I though, we got a taste of Audi with the 2023 Q8 we bought. And we learned that it didn’t matter if you paid a bunch of money, looked...

Smog Check required for Harvester EREV gas engine in the Scout?

Still, the engine/generator produces emissions so that has to be checked to make sure it is in compliance with State regulations. Probably depends on the State. Here in Oregon, my Cadillac ELR had to get tested for emissions even though the generator was not propelling the car directly, using...

First Look! Scout Traveler in New Color "Pacific Mist Blue" (at NYC Debut)

Does anyone know if this is a for sure color (Pacific Mist Blue)? I was planning on going with the Burnt Orange or red if offered, but I really like this light silver/blue. To me it gives it a real upscale look. Personally I’m not one for stripes. I don’t see it on their website unless I’m...

    Suspension differences

I don’t know squat, but a quick search shows luxury brands having air suspension or the choice of it. But anything under that echelon you get a choice or no choice…. So I’m willing to bet 99 bottles of beer on the wall that since Scout is not coming in as a “luxury” brand, but trying to appease...

    Suspension differences

Yes absolutely for sure that Scout is going to be heavy tech. And that’s what every EV is. Unfortunately software is TOUGH. Obviously Fisker effed up as bad as anyone could  So it is awesome news that Rivian is in on this. Although admittedly I don’t know how good Rivian‘ software is. No...

    Suspension differences

Got it. I guess….. it sounds like maybe a majority of people who want Scouts want the less expensive coils and simplicity over possible air suspension driving refinement (and possible long term issues and/or maintenance), or along those lines perhaps. I can certainly see the allure of the Scout...

    Suspension differences

I was reading threads and there were several mentions of people wanting coil spring suspensions for their Scout. I know there are new fangled shocks out there, leaf spring, coils, bags, air, who knows what else. I’m not up on these things. Can someone tell me why coils are preferable? I mean I...

    Happy birthday Scout!

Thats a crazy one….. I’ve never seen a 7 year patent (in this case design patent). I’ve read thousands of patents . That’s a new one on me. As far as I knew, the only way you could have a 7 year patent was in the 1800’s. 7 years? Why even bother?

List of where and when Scouts will be on display?

It would suck though, if you couldn’t sit in it. And I bet you won’t be able to. And I would understand why. With my Defender, it wasn’t the look of the car at all, it was almost all a decision to buy it based on how the interior looked and what it felt like sitting in it. Love at first sit…😍...
