If the engine is in the back, why is the filler door in the front? Will the engine require oil changes? Will it require an exhaust (tail pipe)?

The gas tank is probably up towards the front of the vehicle. In most internal combustion engine cars, the engine in the front and the gas filler is at the back. That's not new. The Harvester is based on a Volkswagen engine, so it will require oil changes just like any other ICE engine. There will also have to be a cooling system and an exhaust system. Neither have been demonstrated yet.

I’m wondering if there will be a snorkel because of the engine being mounted low, when driving through water?

I wonder if the gas engine will be water tight, similar to how diesel engines are. If they’re to compete in the off-road space with Rivian then it might need to be.
