That’s why I had my eyes wide open on the Scout. I anticipate dates to be missed, don’t have to have a new vehicle and the deposit isn’t an amount I am concerned about. If you’re expecting everything to move smoothly, are uncomfortable with numerous modifications, need a new vehicle relatively soon or don’t want them holding your money for an extended period, my advice is to move on. It’s not like when they finally are available they won’t still sell you one.
I think Scout should throttleback on the pressers and just go about it's business of building the factory and get the product rolling out the door.
I still think the better way to launch a vehicle is to get through to low rate initial production, then launch. Having Leno drive around his airport in a prototype that sounds like an electric toy car with straight-cut gears was amusing and tell tale of how underdeveloped the product really is.
