Has anyone heard what electric “modes” there will be in the Scout? I don’t even remember what my i3 had, if any. My Fisker has Earth , Fun, and Hyper mode. Earth mode sucks (front wheel drive mode only and feels weak), Fun mode is great and Hyper is even better but unnecessary for me 99% of the time. There was supposed to be an Ice/snow mode, but of course it never materialized with the company going down in flames.
Really needs the ice/snow mode for the other mode AWD and not so much power, essentially if they just made the weak Earth mode to AWD it would be better for snow. All that being said, with real winter tires (I swear by Vredsteins) the Ocean does extremely well in bad weather, as long as you dont drive like my wife (all-out pedal pusher).
But anyway, I hope that there are more choices in the Scout software. I don’t need 3.5 second 0-60. I just think it would be cool to have an available throttle algorithm where you could throttle back the electrons to save some energy and still get a good torque-ish feel like in 5-6 second to 60 range, all the while increasing range. Don’t really know what other EV’s have.
Any enlightenment here?
