Your prediction didn't happen yet desirable EV 's will not drop 7500 they might be special finance rates and home chargers or public charging comps. As to real live data / history I drove a plug in phev for 3 yrs 38 miles of pure electric 56 combined learned to love it now in a full EV with 300 plus miles of range I will exceed that mileage twice a year on my trek to Florida from New Jersey yes 2 hrs added charge time but no wife she is flying just me and Fido so the EV is already paying off in my history book !!

I did not get that from a teacher, I got it from history, i.e., when it actually happened.

I'll say they won't suck up the entire $7,500 but they will have to suck up some.
Thats the trickle down economics mindset.

I love that people still believe companies will lower prices when inflation says otherwise.

Just wait until the new tariffs hit.

Copper is being directly targeted. That is going to be fun for anything that uses electricity, including lithium batteries. But sure, manufacturers will slash prices when that happens to help the little people.

That really sucks.

I am grateful I am exempted from the Texas EV Registration Fee since I am a disabled vet.

I don't believe anything other than the facts of the specific situation I'm speaking to.

Incentive was lowered by $3,750 and in response the company lowered the MSRP of the vehicle by $2,000.

You're muddying the waters with your inflation and tariff tangents.

Do you like the Husky? I have a Super Tenere that I really love but have been looking at the Africa Twin.

Facts arent muddying anything but an opposing narrative.

Nobody is going to benevolently eat the inflationary cost of tariffs for the consumer. I trust businessmen as much as I trust politicians.

I do like the Husky. 10,000 miles so far. Several 1,000+ mile solo camping trips on it. Its a riot. All previous bikes were Japanese dual sports so I was VERY skeptical and not prepared for the power.

The plan was to buy an Africa Twin, but I literally couldnt find any when I was ready. There was a weird year Honda just didnt send any to the US and dealerships with previous year models were marking them up like crazy.

Drove 2 hours to buy one at a dealership the next state over. They claimed to have 3 of them on the floor. When I got there there werent any Africa Twins and they just said "Sorry our bad, buy this other bike instead".

I walked next door to a KTM dealership and test drove a KTM 890 Adventure. Incredible bike but couldnt get over the looks. Learned about the Norden when I got home and realized its the same bike with more a palatable design.

Bought one nearby a few weeks later.

I removed my factory mid pipe because it was scalding hot when you sit in traffic and replaced it with a smaller high flow cat. Sounds great and no more burning feet.

The Africa Twin is still my top choice but I dont regret the Norden. Both would be night and day different than your Super Tenere.

the deposit on the scout show an intention to buy. Is there a way to claim the tax credit by just having a deposit before it goes away?

Federal income taxes might be going away. He said it on the campaign trail and so far everything that he said on the campaign trail he’s been doing. And a-lot of governors and senators want to put it in action. Where instead we would be getting a check from the government every year.
I need to know where your getting your weed it has to be better than most. The guy is a pc of shit. (Carpetbagger) if your old enough to know that word because I'm sure there not teaching history anymore but yet it has a way of repeating itself. Keep puffing !!!

No. This is a credit against taxes you owe, and is claimed on the next tax return filed after purchase.

Non-logical California is testing the idea of taxing based on miles driven this is in response to their lack of knowledge around the basic fact that the more EV's on the road the less gas tax they collect.
I swear politicians are of the lowest intelligence known to man.

I don't have issues with the gas tax shifting to a mileage based, i.e usage, tax only IF they remove the gas tax.

Haha, if a politician REMOVES a tax, LOL. That would be like removing a toll once the road, bridge, tunnel, etc. is paid for, hahahahaha.

But the damage to the earth to make an ev is 10x gas powered. Yet no one says anything. Funny people.

Take your wife's diamond ring and donate it to the environmental charities diamonds are right up there with lithium and that will change with solid state battery technology. But mining of raw materials are offset by the afterlife of ice vehicles the pollution of groundwater etc. In junk yards etc. I think EV's are the future and most of us 60 plus old guys have a high probability of our asses riding in an electric hurst. And our grand kids won't be worrying about that hump in the floor
