Front bench seat will fold down for cup holders & more (folding confirmed by Scout)

A Scout employee has confirmed that the production front bench seat will fold down to have cup holders & more ?

Presumably the cupholders will be built into the back of the folding front bench seat.

Great news to many of us here who were hoping for this in the other thread! ?

First time I'm seeing the seatback of the front bench seat and it doesn't look like there's hinges on it so I'm guessing that the one in the concept doesn't fold.

Oh that's nice. Most of the time I think I would have that center section folded down. But it'll be nice to have my wife cuddle up next to me during long trips.

I love the bench seat option not just for extra seating but just for leg room, mostly for the passenger, but still…….i like to bend my gas pedal knee to the side sometimes or stretch my leg during cruise control

and it leaves room on the seat and floor for all sorts of things

Definitely just a mock-up/prototype for the seats. I would imagine there has to be some sort of pop-up headrest too. No way the feds are going to allow someone to sit in a front seat without one.

New chevy and dodge 2500 front bench don't come with headrest for the center. There must be some exception for it.

Interesting. I think it would be easy to do though. The 3rd row seats of my telluride have them. Hope Scout does include so adults sitting there don't snap their necks in a rear end collision.
