For those of you who have changed a reservation, are there any downsides?
Like, get bumped or anything like that? Wouldn't be the end of the world...just curious.
Originally reserved a Terra for myself as a potential daily driver replacement in a couple of years when they came out.
But I went ahead and replaced my DD earlier this year, so now I'm thinking I may switch to the Traveler as a potential replacement for my wife's DD (Bronco) in a couple of years....

No need to change until the time comes to configure and place an order for one.

Makes sense. I thought there was an option to change it on their website.
But when I try to log in it says there is a problem retrieving account info...
🤷‍♂️

A while back I changed my Traveler Harvester reservation to Traveler EV-only. I reached out to Scout prior to making the change to confirm doing so would not lose my place in line, which was confirmed. So I don’t see an issue with your change, other than working through the site issue to make it.

I just had to log out and log back in lol.
What was your reasoning for the switch to EV only?

Have the same question. I'm sitting with the Traveler Harvester option bc I want the gas extender - but I'm currently in a Model Y and fully understand the draw of a full EV.

Sorry I missed your question vbrad - as a Model Y Performance owner I am now accustomed to gas station visits only for lottery tickets, realize that 150 mile range (EV range of the Harvester) is really 110 miles or a 50-mile trip and back, and used to quick acceleration (Harvester version has slower 0-60). I’m sure a lot of people choosing Scout are doing so for overland or off-road reasons and will scoff at acceleration. But I know you can have both seeing that Rivian has some ridiculous range plus acceleration. These are my reasons. I love the look of the Scout and how it sits between the Rivian R1 and R2 sizes. However, I am also waiting to see the specs of the R2 Tri motor. Of course that and the Scout don’t compare, but my list is unique to me. One more thing, I’m used to literally zero maintenance. I’ve had my Model Y since May 2023 and have 20K miles. Other than washing and vacuuming, I’ve aired the tires once. No rotation or windshield fluid. My wheels are staggered and yes I should probably rotate but have not needed and I typically only mash the pedal going straight so not much lateral wear, if that makes sense.

Love it. Yeah it's going to be hard to go back to gas stations for gas, lol. Fully agree on minimal Tesla maintenance (knock on wood), and I'm looking forward to the Scout as more of a utility EV with a better aesthetic than the Rivian IMHO.

I've never owned full EV, so I guess you could just say I'm a little leery.
And I say that only because at this point, if we end up with a Scout, it will be my wife's primary vehicle.
I can't even get her to plug her phone in at night...so what in the hell is going to make her plug in her CAR at night!?
She's an ideal candidate for full EV though. Very predictable daily commutes.
The car would have to be up for the task for a handful of short to medium length road trips a year though.
But for those I've asked they just time their charging stops with lunch, bathroom breaks, etc...

Totally get it. As a lifetime 4runner owner I was extremely wary of making the switch to an EV, but the current admin's return to office bs forced my hand and I can say.. I'm pleasantly surprised.

The Scout NACS charging port gives us access to the Tesla supercharger network for road trips, and it's pretty simple to map to them for longer drives. I'm still curious on how Scout plans to offer test drives to buyers so I can compare driving experience - but given how organized their approach to everything has been so far I'm confident that we'll all have time to make educated choices before fulfilling our reservations.

I was ready to make the switch personally. I too have a predictable daily commute and I was really coming around to the idea of an EV truck.
Last year at reservation time, I was not planning on getting myself a new car and figured I would just wait fort the Scout and the Rivian R3X to drop so I could give them some serious consideration.
But I ended up buying something else for myself and figured the timing would be good for replacing my wife's Bronco which was the reason I switched my reservation.
Shes quickly growing tired of the Bronco, though. I'm not sure she can wait another couple of years (potentially and I think likely) for the Scout.
Not when there are other cars that are available NOW that she'd like to get her hands on.
I love the Bronco. I'm going to have a hard time getting rid of it, so I'm trying to convince her to hold on to it for a couple more years hah.
