It's no different than my Ranger ICE, Ford claims 24MPG, but I am lucky to get 18, and all I have done is level the front. This is the case with every vehicle, those epa estimates are done on a level track at a constant speed with a pro driver and a tail wind.
A PDI is a must for any new vehicle sale, something I always do as it can preclude bringing the vehicle back for a minor repair several times in the weeks after pick up. I actually have a checklist I use, will need to be revised for the Scout I am sure. Scout, as well as Rivian and Tesla cut...
I am not worried, if the ban stands in California (I don't think it will) I will just drive to Vegas (or the nearest customer center and pick it up there.)
Yep, I am hoping to see them in Sacramento next year, or the Bay Area if that is a spot, only a 2 hour drive, I drove down there to see the Bronco when it was new.
It was reported that the 2027 Dodge Charger Daytona EV will have SSB's for a demonstration release. They will be made here in the US by Factorial's factory building in Methuen, Massachusetts. The same STLA Large platform that underpins the Dodge Charger Daytona will be used by Jeep, Alfa Romeo...
I don’t think they will use a M/C engine, as the stated output from the Harvester will be in the 135KW range. As a trained Generator mechanic I am thinking that would require about a 100 BHP or more to drive the generator head under load. I worked on gensets from 10KW-400KW, the smaller using...
Why on earth would a generator engine have a turbo??, not going to happen. A DC generator will have a variable speed demand governor, speed dependent on load, with a RPM limiter.
My Ranger? 7K lbs, I think the Harvester is 7200 or so. My RV has a tow cap at 7500 and I think the Harvester is going to exceed that. On the other hand my Wife said she would be happy to drive the Scout and follow the RV, she is so sweet!
I have a Ranger FX4 and use it off road in the desert or mountains while RV’ing several weeks each summer. But it gets crappy gas mileage (20 max) and it would be great to have the harvester option. My only concern is towing it, either four down or flat bed.
Oh, you must have one of those little 1 car garages sandwiched between row houses in Trenton? Just kidding, but I have seen those, was stationed at Ft Dix, and had a G-friend at Stockton Uni in Auburn.
Solid State Batteries (if available) will have an almost unlimited charge life cycle, also the charge time from from 20>80% is much lower than other battery chemistries, around 10-15 minutes if the charger supports that high charge rate. To me those are the main advantage over LFP or LEPOF4...
I asked you this question on another thread before seeing this, the Canadian border Officers are tough!, and some are mean, had more than a few occasions to cross and some were not fun at all.
So if you purchase a Scout in Canada will you have to pay the additional Tariff that will be imposed. I would think even if you bought it here and drove it home you would be charged duty or the tariff, or both. Just curious as when I visited Canada I was a bit surprised at the prices.
PS, I...
Plenty of chargers out here with one planned at home as well, but I go to AZ, NM, and west Texas in winter and also to off road, so the Harvester s a must, only reason I haven't gone EV so far.
