I ordered the BEV Traveler. The Harvester is likely a safer bet BUT if I need both drive systems to make the Scout work for me I’ll save the $$ and keep driving my 1500 diesel pick up with 700+ mile range between fill ups. Let’s see if Scout can surprise us all with a innovative and effective...
Vehicle software will likely engage the Harvester to maximize vehicle range and performance without the driver making that decision. As long as you started with fuel in the gas tank and a reasonable level of charge you should make your trip with only a possible stop to top off the gas tank...
My general understanding is that that the generator kicks in when the battery (Harvester model has a smaller battery than the full EV) reaches some level of discharge. 70% for example as determined by the software. The generator then runs to provide a base level of electricity to maintain...
This interior is closer to what I would prefer vs. initial Traveler. Color looks good. The size is still hard for me to comprehend until I can see it in person. It would be great if Scout provided a pic next to some other current production (OR A CLASSIC SCOUT!) vehicle so we could get a sense...
YES on bright color options ( have a Jeep in “High Velocity” yellowish). Scout Sea Mist looks slightly green (Sea Foam Ford color similar). Still prefer the copper color of the initial Traveler BUT different colors will highlight different shapes/features of the body. Good to see more color...
Open the “Manage Your Reservation “ link on the reservation confirmation e-mail you received from Scout. Should be able to request the refund there BUT what’s the rush.
We are nowhere near the end of the timeline laid out at the time orders opened. When I ordered on 10/25/24 I assumed my actual...
IF a dealer is not involved in the transaction where will I get the magic sprays applied to the interior and windshield etc that I MUST have ???
RE powertrains: love my ICE diesels and V8’s but putting full gas into the new Scout would be a little like resto-modding a new performance car with a...
There will customer experience centers owned by Scout (current plan) vs conventional dealerships. You will be able to look at/drive some demo vehicles, place an order and take delivery of your vehicle. Some will also have service bays. Ment as a place to do business and also have a social...
I noticed the Radio Silence. The “official “ site has also been quiet. Last construction update was June 5th. I guess we are in the phase of design/ramp up where the details are being hammered out and there are not a lot of exciting details to announce. Last official reports were that the...
Looks like Scout is taking another route to dealing with state by state auto franchise laws . See attached article seeking federal relief from the US Justice Department for “anticompetitive practices”.

YES to getting this sorted out.
RE tribal land, anywhere there is a tribal casino there is legal precedent for tribal exemption from state laws (including remote delivery from a tribal based dealer center?) Tribes also have an established cash flow to state government from gaming compacts to...
Thank you for your service and the cool Scout pic. 10-4 on the fuel milage. Had a 80’s V8 Jeep CJ as a work vehicle. You could almost watch the fuel gauge fall as you drove it (still was an awesome ride).
Good to know that Ford is doing the work to compete globally and develop technology that will “eventually?” benefit us. I love my ICE and am onboard EV with my Traveler. I have long term concerns about our auto/truck industry’s competitiveness IF we just keep building ICE vehicles/conventional...
There is a thread in this forum from back in November “Cargo area capacity and dimensions of Scout Traveler” under General Scour EV Topics. Didn’t have any firm details but made some estimates.
Fair question. I have assumed all along 2028 delivery (fingers crossed!!). Prefer they don’t rush into production “just because” . IF 6-8 month delay gets me a solid state battery vs existing tech I would wait if given a choice.
Others have explained that the Harvester is a “series hybrid”. The onboard generator is NOT a high capacity unit capable of quickly re-changing a depleted battery.
Best guess that the Harvester unit will “likely” kick in when a heavy sustained draw occurs on a well charged battery (long uphill...
