Yes - thanks for posting the pictures... I was going to go but didn't want to if I could not sit in the vehicle - looks like avoiding the 4.5 hour drive might have been the right call...

I doubt they'd let anyone sit in it, they'd be too tempted to mess with gauges, switches, screens, you name it. These are still prototypes and as awesome as they look probably fragile as all get out. They look beefy AF tho, can wait to get my hands on a prod one in that red/copper color with the ghost racelines!

Looks like that "cabana" top is a canvas-like material. Very curious how that would hold up in something like the Arizona sun, and if it's closed how it would handle rain, snow, etc.

That's something you're going to find out firsthand sounds like. If there is color choices go with light color.

It's nice to know up front before purchasing what's likely to be a $60k+ vehicle. At the very least I don't want the answer to be "check the weather before using the Scout that day."

It should hold up as well as any quality convertible with a canvas top like Haartz Twillfast . They don't have as much stretch or shrink from temperature and sun like the cheaper vinyl tops. They also are not prone to cracking.
The key with a cloth top is to not use it when it has dirt in it. The dirt acts like little razor blades and cuts the threads in tight areas leaving a little fuzz or fray. Also, better to not risk it and close it in real cold weather where it will be quite taught and hard on the frame/hydraulics.

I have had several Jeeps with that material and have had no issues in the Florida sun for years. I don't know about snow, but my guess is it would probably not insulate as well as a hard top.
