100% agree - depreciation is last thing on my mind as I reach retirement in a few months.

Worked hard in the public sector for decades and now going to enjoy my lifelong government pension income so now I have a huge list of bucket list items to start/purchase/complete:

1. Scout EREV
2. Single engine turboprop plane (used)
3. Private pilot license
4. Fly fishing the remote blue ribbon waters
5. 2nd home at aviation park to hangar my plane

That's a great mentality for you guys that are retiring (and congrats), but for those of us with 20+ years to go (hopefully less) it's a bad idea.

It's never a bad idea to make moves that make you happy take it from someone who had your mentality until life and cancer and all the things that come with it so my advice to those who have 20 plus years to go. Apologize and ask for forgiveness you'll have more things that your wife didn't know you needed wait for nothing

Lots of vehicles available in Mexico that are rarely on US streets and never imported. Mostly due to emissions and safety standards.

Let's look at Geely Chinese conglomerate they own polestar and Volvo they bought Volvo so they can integrate Volvo's technologies and safety and emissions management systems into their own vehicles so they Geely have a plan they are already through out Europe and now Canada. And this is all happening under the great deal makers watch but that's okay big oils last big splash paid well so I won't be shocked when I start seeing BYD , Cherry, Nio on our streets
