4x4 air suspension?

I read that too, but that article is new information and it makes it sound like the air suspension will be the only offering. Of course, it could be out of context or directly pointed at a certain trim, time will tell.

I'm all for air suspension being an option for those that want it, I just don't want it being forced.

I cant see scout going completely with Air Suspension. It could be an option. But i feel like they probably have looked into how it went for Rivian. Which we all know suffer from alignment issues due to the suspension changing.

I'm a visual person. So what I'm picturing in my head. The adaptive air suspension, like on the Cyber truck and Hummer.

They're using a lot of Rivian software and the zonal architecture. It's not a big stretch to think they would use the same suspension system Rivian is using. If you read the Rivian Forum's there are countless complaints of the air suspension having chronic issues; Vehicle sagging, suspension collapsing, compressor burnout, chronic alignment issues, unsettled driving as the suspension constantly adjusts height, etc.

With all that said, I love Rivians and if they didn't have the air suspension I would own one.

VW group uses air suspensions in many of their brands, including SUV'S. I would not assume Rivian will be their first choice.

Not air suspension but we extended test drove a F150 lightning and were really impressed how nice it rode.
I'm in for any option that gives good ride quality as long as I can fix it if it grenades.

day dreaming of a harvester with OME suspension, but the air setup definitely has me curious. hoping scout’s vision for incorporating tech lines up.

Scout can create option package, like off road package or comfort package, but all options start with a base model.

I may have mentioned it but anyway, we clicked the "Build Your Own" on the GMC website.
Gave us the price.

Then we contacted the GMC dealer we usually buy from and they had more factory installed options available than GM listed on the website. Nice stuff we really wanted but had no clue was available.

Just the opposite with Tesla.
We walked into a Tesla Showroom at our local mall.
The rep sat with us and we worked up an order.

She didn't have nor was aware of some options available that were on the Tesla Website.

There aren't that many Tesla options to begin with, but they were important to us.

Big fan of air suspension. Was a diesel mechanic in the military and worked on semi trucks when I got out. Its a proven system, but some domestic auto-makers just do a poor job of implementing it in passenger vehicles.

My Lexus GX470 has 209k miles and is over 20 years old. The rear airbags are still going strong. I tricked the sensors to permanently lift it an extra 2" a few years ago when I lifted the front with some Bilstein 6112s.


Did a 1,000 miles road trip recently to Padre Island National Seashore. Me, the wife, fours kids, and a hitch mount cargo carrier absolutely stuffed with coolers, beach chairs, umbrellas etc. I would wager we were exceeding the payload capacity the entire time.

We drove out just past the 15 Mile Marker and were flogging it pretty hard in the deep sand and bouncing all over the place all the way there.

No blowouts. No leaks. No cold weather issues either. I trust that system, and when the bags start dry rotting they are being replaced by some AirBag Man lift bags for some extra travel.

But for those not convinced its OPTIONAL.
