They've been recycling the same images for roughly the last year, would not be surprised to see that carried forward for another 12 months. Then start to trickle out new images about 10 months prior to the start of production.
Because they seriously can't expect the same old stale images to keep everyone interested for another 2 years? Now that other well known and experienced manufacturers are entering the EREV market, Scout can't afford to just sit there. They don't have to release everything. But they know what...
No one knows anything. Scout has not released any concrete specs on the vehicles yet. Even the towing capacity reduction was an off-hand statement on a Jay Leno YouTube video. All the marketing thus far is influencer based fluff. Scout needs to release more info if they expect people to buy in 2...
You won't want the batteries constantly stored at the very top end of the charge. Depending on the chemistry used for the Harvester versions (most likely LFP) you will experience degradation much more rapidly than if you store the vehicle at 70-80%. When I say "store the vehicle", I don't mean...
The shear lack of information is frustrating. There's no configurator, no specs, nothing new. Scout keeps pushing the influencer social media marketing campaign with the same old stale images. Yes, the vehicles looks great, but we really need details if they expect people to keep waiting another...
I'm all in on BEV assuming Scout actually releases some real information soon. I need to know price and a more solidly estimated release date to be announced in the next few months.
So length wise, the traveler is going to be very close to the 4-Door Bronco. Body width I was incorrect about, the Bronco fender flares make it a little difficult to compare directly to other models. The Traveler will be wider than the Bronco since the body stretches out to the end of the fender...
If the EV is delayed more than 6 months then I will drop Scout and get a Gen 3 R1T (from what I've heard they will be out in late 27 to early 28). I'm tired of dealing with ICE and I'm ready to make the jump to BEV. My wife will still have her 4-door Bronco if something bad happens, we call it...
Ok, this is confusing and we need updates from Scout. The dimensions listed on the website show the Traveler being 2 inches shorter, bumper to bumper, and 3 inches narrower than a Bronco.
not even close, it’s the size of a 4 door bronco. The length you’re referencing is with the spare tire on the back. The Traveler is 2” shorter than a Bronco from bumper to bumper.
I get it. Maybe these dimensions aren't set in stone? I feel like they should push the size to more 4Runner/Land Cruiser, that seems to be the real sweet spot.
VW just announced several new models that will be using Rivian Zonal Architecture and Software stacks. The ID Everyone is launching pretty much at the same time as the Scout twins.
Are you sure about that? At 190" without the spare, it's pretty close to the length of a Bronco (my Wife has a Bronco OBX, it's 192" from the front bumper to rear bumper). The traveler is also 3" narrower than a Bronco at 91.6" vs 94.6".
They are offering a hybrid, the Harvester is a hybrid, the engine just doesn't directly power the wheels. For a traditional hybrid setup they would need to spend millions upon millions to put in a larger ICE, transmission, driveshafts, transfer case, larger fuel tank, etc.
What's wrong with...
