This is exactly why I reserved one. We have a teen that will be needing a vehicle about the time this comes out. I am a bit skeptical regarding them being able to maintain the price point. It makes great marketing currently and gets the name out. Later they could easily blame "market factors" regarding price increases. Also great marketing is the keep it simple and leave out all of the expensive gadgets deal but manufacturers can get stereos for cheap in bulk where as you will pay much more for that. Same thing can be said for power windows which is why most manufacturers rarely give you the option of crank windows. It complicates assembly to have two different versions and the cost difference is minimal. However, I bet they will charge a decent amount for that option. As I said, I am skeptical, but still reserved just in case their promises hold up and make this a great first car.At the low end of the price range, I can see these flying off the lots as people's "first vehicle."
It will come with a warranty, very little maintenance, safety, and the customization ability that teens want.
