I just had a thought... If towing capacity is compromised due to the harvester, what if they offered two different harvester configurations?
Option 1. Stick the generator in the back like they've said, and loose some towing capacity, say the 7.5k down to 5k or whatever it ends up being. Done...
It sounds like Sodium Ion batteries would not be good for range however. looks like the tech is good for storage where size/space is not an issue. But it'd be cool if they can make it work in a car, and get a decent/acceptable range!
I posted this in another topic/thread, but thought I'd post here too.. I just saw a flat black Slate truck with a manufacturers plate on it. It was on 16 mile just East of Rochester road in Troy Michigan. Pretty cool they are being tested on the streets already!
Speaking of Slate... I just saw a Slate being test driven in Troy MI yesterday on 16 mile by Rochester road. it was flat black and had a manufacturers plate on it.

I for one am glad they partnered with VW for their HREV option. I am confident whichever harvester motor they use from VW will be a solid choice. VW overbuilds their motors and can withstand a lot of abuse. I'm not so sure I would feel as comfortable with the HREV if it were from one of the big...
I really hope they keep the black on black plaid. at lest some elements of it like what's in the prototype.
Adding: A black on black camo print would be sweet too!
