More power to them. I hope they make some nice warm sounds.

Sampling technology has been around for decades. There’s no reason why more cars can’t do this, it’s very easy. The sounds that my Defender has for chimes and warnings are downright goofy sounding, and can’t come close to matching the quality of the car. My Fisker has the stupidest warning sound EVER when the camera can’t see- it’s so bad and so loud and annoying that I can’t see anyone ever signing off on it be put in a car unless you’re on suicide watch and need something to help you along in offing yourself.

Lincoln takes sounds very seriously. They went and got orchestra hits for certain things, and other nice rich sounds. I don’t believe I’ve heard anyone else out there worrying about (non engine) sounds that instill a positive reaction. However fake motor sounds have been around awhile for those who like a fake engine roar. Too goofy for me.
