Am I the only one that thinks that most people who buy electric vehicles are wanting a mid size truck, not a compact and not a full size heavy duty? I saw some report this week, can't remember where, where they said that like 70'ish% of truck owners don't use their beds and actually buy the truck as an extension of their personality. This is why they hang nuts off the hitch, put on crazy wheels/tires, lighting etc. Asking for a friend, haha. Seriously though, I thought most big truck owners love them some gas even though they also love complaining about the cost of it. But that doesn't stop them from kitting them out to guzzle more of it and leaving them running at any chance they can. And on the opposite, it would be the people who buy Rangers and Mavericks who would be more into an electric/hybrid lifestyle...? Am I the only one who sees the world this way?

Here's an article about Ford collaboration with Chinese EV manufacturers in the US. As Farley knows he doesn't want to miss this opportunity in fact he drives one imagine the CEO of Ford drives a Chinese EV and we wonder why the world is the way it is. Henry is rolling in his grave.

Best to know what your competitors are building. Saw an article where Farley stated that driving the Chinese EV made him realize how far Ford had to go to catch up.

The US was at least in the game until now (behind but engaged). It appears American OEM’s are still working on EV’s but that is not the same as the continuous improvement that occurs by actuality manufacturing a product.

We’ve come from behind before BUT it is the hard way to do it?! We know Scout and Rivian are still hard at it. Ford/GM and now Tesla, not so much. This could actually give Scout an advantage in EV technology and production techniques that will push them ahead in the inevitable EV race.

Love my ICE but I can see the day when the advantages of EV’s will be hard for the consumer to ignore (with a few advances in battery tech).

I felt that way until
I drove and bought one GM is still committed to EV's I have a Cadillac VISTIQ 3 row 615 hp 310 miles cost me 12 bucks to charge at home which is 95% of time. I'm hoping Scout has a full EV with latest battery tech since VW has tentacles in many other entities that hopefully find their way to Scout a 500 mile range EV is a game changer and VW has two kids in the same school being Rivian and Scout along with Audi which would be their luxury division of EV offering's the ID4 is it's budget model so battery technology is imperative to VW's success
