According to the newest IRS guidelines, if you have a binding ev contract by September 30th of this year. You can take advantage of the tax savings when you take delivery after. If I were Scout Motors, I would offer a binding contract to all the reservation holders. There is no expiration date on delivery. Scout should jump on this now! At minimum, Scout Motors (and ALL OEM's) need their Legal Counsel's to review and communicate back to their Customers (perhaps Legal Counsel's interpretation is that "Deposit Holder's are not Customers and therefore a "Contractual Agreement" sent to "Deposit Holder's are a mute point; not enough time to execute). My thoughts but remember; this Administration will not last forever 🤞🏼

Key component you are missing, I doubt there is any way for Scout to verify their battery components and other critical minerals meet the requirements for the rebate at this point and they certainly wouldn’t be able to document that and get approval with the govt in time. The other requirement for the extension is a payment has to be made against the contract, not just having a contract in place.
