We don't know if Federal incentives will be gone by then. I hope Scout is really taking a look at if it is gone maybe they try to lower the price to make it a little more affordable to everyone. They must know that a lot of people ordered because of price point. Right?
Tesla Shareholders received emails yesterday that indicated that the EV tax Credit is staying in place.

Is that confirmed? I hope that they just do EV 350 battery pack and harvester 500 range. Makes life so much simpler. Lol. But I know they won't.
Your dream big for a small startup company. let’s keep it real lol.

I believe you're right. I need to be very cognizant of the price because being in Canada, our dollar already sucks and importing it may add Trump's tariffs to the cost. It may not make any sense for me depending on what's happening with the trade wars and the value of our dollar. Trying to be realistic here but I'll be very sad if it doesn't work out :(

We expect to pay around $75K for the Extended range, fully loaded, no canvas top. No glass roof unless it has a dedicated, built in sunshade.

Wife and her GF rented a Taycan in Switzerland with the glass roof with all the claims "it's UV! It's heat resistant! It's this,,, it's that!"

Nope it's like driving under the magnifying glass you used to melt your plastic army men or your sisters Barbie Dolls with.

100 miles plug-in EV range is excellent, the Scouts 150 mile suggested is colossal and wouldn't be surprised if it tests out more than that. I wager it will.

So far on paper everything looks good, real good.

65-75k is what I'm expecting. Still cheaper than most new cars on the market today.

Yes.
And we're getting a lot for the money.
Sales taxes and registration in Calif is astronomical.
My pickup truck is $1200 a year registration as a comparison.

Luckily if Teslas Investor Relations isn’t lying we would get the $7,500 + state incentives.

NJ gives $2,000

So in total I'm getting $9,500 off of the price. Pretty good deal if you ask me.

Thats insane 1.2k a year for registration i thought NJs $250 was bad.

Im getting my info from people who work for the government in my family.

And OPEC and EIA are all government ran, and guess what the government likes to lie to the new outlets and organizations so take those numbers with a grain of salt. We already know that OPEC ruined USA exports of oil because they raised exporting oil price.

And heres a bit about Alaska:

https://apnews.com/article/alaska-oil-wealth-fund-dividend-c512839da89902b06f39e87866733cf8
I lived in Alaska for 3 years, they have no income tax and only a combined 1.8% state and local sales tax. They share the income from Oil tax placed on oil companies with legal residents on a yearly basis. This year the one time rebate was about $1700 per resident over 18, not enough to live on by any means (Alaska is one of the most expensive states to live in).

I do have range anxiety. Take the IDBuzz. Hard to find old articles about the concept - but I did find one with a targeted range of 340. Production published range was 240. Independent testing showed ranges of 190. Now that it is in the US, and people are actually driving them - I watched one youtube video.
That video seems to have been taken under the least ideal circumstances, if it's the same one I saw. A review by ArsTechica showed a real-world result of 231 miles on a full charge, which is much closer to the production 240. But I get it - production ended up being way lower than targeted, possibly the largest "promised range vs. delivered range" gap I've seen in an EV so far.

I'm curious how the Jeep Recon will eventually deliver, especially since it's another "brick moving in the wind."

I am just hoping people show up at the polls next November and vote to get the Federal Rebates back.

People need to feel the fire before they get burned the only thing this time is they stuck the right hand in before and we're stupid enough to try the left simple question is what are you doing to make the world better not promote vengeance. And maybe visit the areas that didn't vote for you and see feel and touch what you've never been exposed to. Sad chapter commonsense and compassion are like one eyed jacks just like Scout They decided to build a billion dollar factory in a state that doesn't support their business plan ( DTC ) Go figure I know they got incentives but get them and DTC ability but the climate towards EV adoption is not being supported by current administration someone tell me why government wouldn't ??

Yeah, $40-60K estimates are grossly underestimated. There’s no way that pricing is realistic, especially when the Rivian sells at $80K plus.
