No surprise the new administration is going to try to kill this. Also no surprise is Elmo supporting it. He knows this will hurt other manufacturers way more than Tesla, especially those like Lucid, Rivian, and Scout and to a lesser degree legacy automakers.
At least Scout is a couple of...
really dont understand this infatuation with AA and CP. probably because the vehicle you have now has a crappy infotainment system. Rivian and Tesla do not and its fine without it. its not perfect but it does 90-95% of what you need and their support for apps will grow over time without...
everyone knows a heat pump is more efficient, especially during colder weather. Scout would be wise to implement one, if they haven't already, into their design.
Rivian UI and infotainment software is second only to Tesla and they are committed to improving it. Scout is in good hands if they base their vehicles on this platform.
reminds me more of the Porsche headlights, which i dont like either. however, im more concerned about the design of the headlight accumulating snow with those ledges under the lights.
interior looks great overall and then the steering wheel seems a bit odd and out of place. i think a round wheel or a round wheel with flat bottom would be preferred by most folks.
interesting thought. how does this impact battery life? is it the same impact as just plugging in the vehicle to charge? is part of the battery charging while another part discharges? no idea how this works.
hmmm, i guess i heard it more that at around 150 miles the generator would kick in not that that is the max range of the battery but maybe youre right. i would think the battery wouldn't want to get to zero before the generator kicks in.
i also i dont think you need that many batteries to...
This could get tricky if Scout/VW was hoping to leverage the dealer network for service and repairs.
On the other hand, dealers need to calm down. A majority of all dealership profits are from service repairs and maintenance, not the sale of vehicles. If they stay on board, those services...
i highly doubt the model with the extender will be cheaper. they are saying you can go 350 miles on battery alone and another 150 with the extender. to go 350 miles on battery means its a large battery.
awesome if true. makes sense for daily driving to turn that off and go fully electric. of course it means you're just carrying around extra dead weight but not a bad trade off for getting an extra 150 miles when you need it for road trips to reduce charging stops.
