I know this is probably sacreligious to those older Scout owners that have likely been going to Scout events for years but I wonder if the Columbia, SC area will start to plan/host annual Scout events (not necessarily take over existing ones). If you look at my profile you will see why I have made such a a statement; yes I admit I am being partial. But you have to admit, it is where all the next generation Scouts are being built and even the local populace will be a bit more excited about it.

On a related note, as you can also tell from my profile, I already own a "relatively" new off roader that is doing its best to resemble previous generations. I have also started to take it to historical Bronco events. Matter of fact, I just got back from one in April (i.e., Super Celebration East). This was the first year that the latest 6th Generation Bronco finally outnumbered the older generation Broncos. I thought that was pretty cool, and telling that it took 4 years to finally outnumber the old models. Now I know it's still a bit different with Bronco being fully ICE (for now) and Scout being an EV/extender, but I think it will be great combining the old with the new on various trail rides, contests, accessory demos, etc. In many cases, Youtubers specific to these vehicles will setup tents and do interviews while making more content to share with the world! So based on my experience with Bronco, owners will be enthusiasts that will come together with similar passion, regardless if they own a new or an older refurbished generation. Remember, it costs big money to even partially restore an old vehicle so the guys coming to these events are going to be financially stable educated individuals. This means many will be open to learn more about the next gen. Yeah some may say they would never own an EV, but many will respect the power plant and just be happy that the brand is now going to live on. It will be for some interesting talk for sure.

I hope they do start at show in SC! I’ve been wheeling my scout since 1994 and can’t wait to take the new scout up into the Colorado mountains and all over. my 1966 does pretty well on the highway but it’s no long haul cruiser. Plus the older we get the more the wife doesn’t love riding in an almost 60 year old scout?. I can see her wanting to go into the mountains a lot more with the new scout.
