Will the Terra be insulated for a quiet highway ride ?

Sound insulation is independent of tires - but some tires will naturally be louder than others. Roofs can also be a decent source of noise - which is why I personally would prefer a decently reinforced hard top rather than a rag top. Plus being in the sunny south-I don't like the easy bake oven effect of a glass top.

Agree that the south will bake a car. I’d love a power screen that could be utilized in the hot & sunnier months to help block the light & heat. My Macan has one & I use it often. It’s also great in the winter when it’s cold & the warmth of sunshine is welcome when you wanna slide it back. Please ? Scout, consider this addition!

Power screens are probably somewhat effective - I have them in 2 vehicles. But like window shades, they block sun from shining directly in, but a good bit of heat still gets past the windows. My Jeep hard top just seems to work better. That said, part of the issue with the VW is it probably just has more glass - blown up way to many soda cans in it.
