Let's hope they keep the price in check. When the F-150 Lightning I ordered arrived it was $15k more than initially stated. At launch the 2022 price for my config was $47k, when I got to order in 2023, the same config was $57k. When it arrived at the dealership the sticker said $62k. I had to pass.

When I got the call about my Silverado EV reservation, only the $90k trim was available. That was a no go.

Yeah they're saying "under $60k start price" which means $59,995 plus destination, doc fees, dealer fees, and then any options you want at all? So we're realistically talking $70k out the door to even get into a decent Scout model? This thing is going to be pricey.

They're going to build what they want to build and we will buy what we want to buy. I for one won't make any final decisions until they send order sheets this is when the cover comes off and the real reservations are made and that's awhile away so enjoy your Turkey and your Christmas because it's going to be awhile before there's a Scout in the driveway.

Yeah I could see the baller versions of these things getting into the 90s. We'll more than likely see less fees with discussions around avoiding dealers, but who the heck knows. With the way things are heading now at the end of '25, inflation is going to below these pricing estimates out of the water.

Let's wait to see the order sheets that's when the curtain comes off an we finally have reality which if history repeats itself buy the time scout comes to market 20% of reservationist will have bought other offerings. 10% will leave if no full EV and 10 to 15 % will never follow through on an actual order. So out of the 100% of current reservations 40 % not becoming orders. Currently we have a rendering we need Scout to knock our socks off with the final product to secure a majority of orders and let's hope theres a 500 mile solid state battery version. Scout was always a leader let's hope the tradition is continued. Happy Holidays !!!!
