I was just thinking about this yesterday while waiting for my daughter...
The ability to stream video to the screen while the vehicle is not in motion.
Carplay/Android should open up all options when parked.
I'd like a McIntosh system but no matter what system they put in these, I hope it's premium.
Even with systems by those listed, most times when they are in a mass-produced vehicle, they are of a lower quality. Good enough to pass the test but not "mindblowing." Almost like buying a John Deere...
Exactly what I was thinking when I saw that. I was under the assumption that the Harvester would just extend the charge term. So if it's only 150miles on EV, at some point the Harvester kicks on and charges the battery to a point that would extend it to the 500 mile range by slowing down the...
Aside from the basic amenities that we know we're getting...
The built-in camera WITH ABILITY TO SAVE is one of my top wants. My Jeep has forward and back facing cameras but they don't save or record footage.
Ventilated/cooled seats
Wireless Carplay (I'm sure this is a no-brainer)
Wireless...
I'm lost. If you can take delivery in SC, why can't you buy in SC? Couldn't they turn an area at the plant into a "dealership?" Do dealerships need to be a "middle-man" to be considered a dealership?
Seems very backwards to think that if I live in SC, I need to travel to a different state to...
Maybe the swing-out tire carrier is optional but the location of the spare isn't. Think of Jeeps. Their spares are on the tailgate but you can purchase aftermarket tire carriers that swing out.
I know this is coming out of left field but why hasn't Hydrogen taken off? To me, that's the next logical step. Batteries are what they are and I know that tech is always improving but the resources to make these batteries are finite. What happens when these batteries are at the end of their...
Exactly my first thought! I'm a little more optimistic that this may allow you to fill up some gas on a depleted battery to get more range. Maybe even at 0%, the battery will hold enough juice to allow you to add gas to get to the nearest charging station.
Hopefully someone can shed some light on this.
Since this is essentially a generator and it's not powering the wheels, is it safe to assume that once you run out of your battery, you can't just put gas in it and go like a current PHEV correct? You'll need SOME sort of charge left in the...
I'd imagine it will work like most.
I know when I ordered my Jeep, I could make changes up until the order was pulled to go into production. So while the order was in the queue, changes could be made but once it's put in the production schedule it's locked.
Every company is a little different...
The only thing I'm concerned about (and this isn't Scout, this is how I feel about any new company or product) is how well they are at working out the bugs before these get delivered.
I'm currently in a Jeep 4xe that has battery recalls and my check engine light just seems to come on and off...
I wonder how hard it would be to add/install it after the fact if you didn't order it.
The art renderings show an image of the Traveler without it and it appears as if the Scout logo is illuminated so would adding it complicate things as you'd be covering it and possibly needing the wiring...
Of course, but I'd rather a surface that you can just wipe clean. I know most won't use these offroad but I'm sure many will just like the Bronco and Jeep communities. They're meant to get dirty.
The interior is beautiful. Just beautiful. The tactile buttons, the sleekness of the screen integration, the color palette...
If it's an option, the only thing I would want changed out is the fabric on the dash. I see that being very hard to get clean. I'd rather leather or a plastic insert...
