  1. 4-Cylinder Harvester EREV engine confirmed by CEO Scott! + 0-60mph, range, payload, towing specs discussions

Personally, I feel like 4.5 seconds is extremely quick for a large truck like this. It's way faster than people need to be driving on public roads. Most drivers lack the skill to handle a vehicle with that speed. Just look at all the videos of the chuckleheads leaving cars and coffee meets. 3...
  2. Scout Traveler on-road model

I'd imagine that the base models are going to come with road tires and the upper trims or options packages will have the off road tires, just like a wrangler or bronco or even the Rivian vehicles. However the vehicle sizes... According to the dimensions shown in the website, these are both...
  3. Bunch of pictures from Scout launch event!

Just to add to conversation, they did make it clear that this is a 'concept vehicle' so there's probably a good amount of interior changes that will be made by the time they get to production. Don't count on any of the colors/materials being available. Also, my own personal preference, I would...
  4. Direct to Consumer Model in States Where it is Illegal

This has already been figured out by multiple manufacturers. If the Scout legal team hasn't already sorted it all out, they are probably working on it. And I'd imagine they can consult the Rivian legal team for advice. I know Rivians are being sold to owners in Texas so they've certainly figured...
  5. Towing Range with Scout - Harvester EREV vs. Full-EV and Traveler vs. Terra

As has been said, this is going to be highly dependent on the individual trailer. However, I would expect roughly the same percentage drop as you see in an ice vehicle of the same dimensions. So if you're towing with a full-size SUV or half ton pickup, then figure out what percentage decrease...
  6. Towing Range with Scout - Harvester EREV vs. Full-EV and Traveler vs. Terra

Which is roughly half the normal efficiency/range, correct?
  7. Support Clean Vehicle Tax Credit

A quick Google search turns up a list of lobbying groups. It would be up to you to look into the activities of each group and decide which one you want to support. Another good action is to call your congressional representatives and voice your position on issues.
  8. Scout availability in Europe

Doubt it. It will take them long enough to ramp and build out the showroom/service network in the USA. There's not a huge demand for F150 and Tahoe sized vehicles in Europe.
  9. Pricing & trim levels details in 12-18 months. Scout dedicated to $50-$51k estimated price for Traveler & Terra

I'd wager the 35 off-road tires will be an option, hopefully in an off-road package or something that will be available for all trims. However don't bank on getting anywhere near EPA range figures with those big tires.
  10. Are you still a Scout buyer without $7500 EV tax credit?

Let's remember that Congress is in charge of passing laws and is the branch that will need to do something to dissolve the EV tax credit.
  11. Tow Hitch on Scout Traveler & Terra production models confirmed. Location you prefer?

I'm going to vote for an integrated trailer brake controller.
  12. One-Pedal Driving or Two-Pedal Driving -- your preference?

I think having the option is the best way to go about it. However the VW id vehicles were certainly engineered separately from the Porsche vehicles and both sets do not have 1pd. So I wouldn't hold my breath.
  13. One-Pedal Driving or Two-Pedal Driving -- your preference?

So just a thought. Other VW group EVs do not have 1pd. VW engineers came to the conclusion that it's more efficient to allow the vehicle to coast. It would be great if Scout gives you the option, however I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't have 1pd available.
  14. What differentiates Terra Pickup Truck vs. other EV competitors for you?

Unless they start using some new battery technology (which is doubtful) the Scout is going to weigh similar to the Silverado/Hummer EVs. Which is significantly heavier than the F150 lightning.
  15. 2027-2028 Scout EV Traveler SUV Colors (Assorted Previews)

I'll take the school bus yellow on my Terra.
  16. Roof top colors - multiple being considered, including body color matching

With the Traveler, I'd probably do contrasting color, depending on the body color. Terra, probably do the body color roof.
  17. 35" Tire Size on 2027 Scout concepts were 35x12.50R20 (KO3 BFGoodrich)

I wholly agree, you need the larger brakes. This vehicle is probably going to weigh 8000+ lbs empty with the top battery range. They shouldn't reengineer (and I doubt they would no matter how many people suggested it) to get 17 inch wheels.
  18. Towing what with your future Scout? -- Using Traveler or Terra?

I currently have a 4500lbs camper trailer and also have a livestock/horse trailer. I don't really see myself traveling across country with them so I think even having 150 ish miles before having to charge will be sufficient so I reserved EV only. However I may change my mind once specs and...
  19. Electric-only people get in here! Who's going full EV only? 🔋

At this time, it's actually unknown how much battery will be replaced and if the generator will weigh more or less. I guess it's possible for it to go either way. My initial thinking was based on going from ice only to phev and he added components, but I see your point that the weight will...
  20. Smallest size wheel that fits is 18" inch. Anyone prefer 17" ?

35 on 18 has more sidewall than the 33 on 17 that comes on a Jeep Rubicon.
