Yah, I turned on the heated steering wheel this past week when temps dropped to 50 degrees.
Alaskan storm system arriving and rare to have temps drop to 50 degrees here in So Calif...
Guess I'll never make it in snow weather parts of the country....
:like:
Your climate is the same as mine - A/C for most of the year and windows down the rest of the year (fall / winter).
Hardly ever does the heater gets turned on in So Calif.
Depending on what battery chemistry is used, will determine cold weather range.
We don't know what battery type will be used: NCM, LFP, Sodium, Solid State, etc....
EV experience since 2018: PHEV (Honda Clarity) and BEV (Ford Mach E).
Ways to extend range in cold weather:
Precondition the...
I hope the IH will not have to use a proprietary V2H setup like Ford's Lightning had (bidirectional Pro Charger) nor have to pay / subscribe to release/activate the feature.
Love those numbers!
Amazing for a stock vehicle.
With larger/taller tires, should be even better.
Wonder how it will compete with Jeep and Land Rovers in terms of offroad capabilities...
Happy to hear the port will be on the same location as Tesla.
My current EV is a Ford Mach E and it's tough to find a furthest right hand charging tower or handicap space to avoid taking up 2 chargers/stalls.
Would love to back into the Tesla charger location even with the spare tire on the...
Agree about the EV dominating aspect of the Scout but the gas ER generator is important for those that need to tow or go long distance between chargers.
I don't have range anxiety having driven EVs for over 6 years (PHEV & BEV).
Daily driving, it's all EV - much cheaper than using fuel...
Ford's F150 Lightning EV rollout was a disastrous cluster.....
Those that got in early reservations did not get theirs when Ford started shipping.
Some were pushed back to the next year model.
OTOH, I was late to that party and reserved a month later but was one of the first to get an June...
With the front wheels so far forward, I'd imagine the approach angle to be very high on both models.
Does anyone know for a factory OEM equipped Terra or Traveller APPROACH & DEPARTURE angles are ?
Maybe as an option ?
I would rather have ventilated seats instead due to warm year around weather I live.
Never use the cabin heating nor preconditioning here so including the heat pump is a waste for me.
How about LiFePO4 ?
I'd like those heavier batteries because they can be charged to 100% every time.
(I am getting tired of people telling my I should not charge over 90% on my NCM EV).
If the Scout EV has a better battery chemistry than NCM (FePO4, Sodium, solid state), and supports 800V charging I will go full EV.
Otherwise, learned a lot from my NCM 400V Mach E gen 1 that the next one will have to do better.
Something I missed out on my 2022 Mach E order: Ice White Appearance package.
Still bummed to this day.
Would love to have that option (white exterior appearance + white interior).
