I am hoping that our “gift” turns out to be the release of additional details that we are hoping for. Previous posts have described preproduction promo brochures released by other manufacturers with pic’s and basic specs.

My hope for next gen battery tech availability by the Scout launch date keeps me from getting too excited about other EV’s right now. The projected continuous slide in resale prices on used EV’s makes me cautious about grabbing something used to use while I am waiting.

I don't think EV depreciation should not effect ones personal enjoyment especially after 65. I look at it this way if you keep track of all the things you deny yourself because of cost add them up at years end it's less than two grand. Retirement is a time of doing what we did for many along the way now it's our time to spend and I don't care about fees I just love smiling

As a reservation holder I like the idea, however, it's a only $100 and that's asking for a lot for what is a minimal investment on the holders part. Now if they asked for more then I could see this being something.

Absolutely agree. Thousands of dollars in free interest for a $100 refundable reservation on a vehicle everyone knew wouldn’t be available until 2027 (at best), is a bit of an unreasonable request.

You guys need to sharpen your negotiating skills you ask for the moon and except the stars and loyalty is a two way street who knows what competition is prevalent at time of release and is the bride up to the task or something in a shinny wrapper. Time will tell but I'm sure a lot of people are running out of quarters to see what's behind the wall many will fall in love with other offerings and simply current needs so expect 30 percent cancellation at time of launch when the 100 turns to 5 k so Scout knows this as does VW the mother ship they are offering it on Atlas why not Scout we shall see the love they decided to share with the faithful

100% agree - depreciation is last thing on my mind as I reach retirement in a few months.

Worked hard in the public sector for decades and now going to enjoy my lifelong government pension income so now I have a huge list of bucket list items to start/purchase/complete:

1. Scout EREV
2. Single engine turboprop plane (used)
3. Private pilot license
4. Fly fishing the remote blue ribbon waters
5. 2nd home at aviation park to hangar my plane
