Yeah, I’d trade the frunk for towing capacity. Realistically, towing is an edge case for me, but “I want a frunk!” doesn’t seem like a primary buying motivator. I wonder if engineering is too set in stone at this point to change?

I see this as the right answer. You trade frunk space for a Harvester option. (and make the Harvester a true generator, not connected at all to the drivetrain.)

I feel like I'm beating a dead horse here, but there are several options out there for lockable, non-see thru options for beds that have existed for years. A frunk isn't unique in that regard.

Not talking truck. Traveler. Smash and grab is the problem. And anything inside the cabin to defeat it has to be a permanent thing, which then gets in the way when you want that space for other things.

Unless you have a safe (I have a gun safe) bolted down a smash and grab is hard to stop as it only takes seconds. Best solution is to never have anything visible while parked.

Can’t imagine owning one of these behemoths in a city unless you have a safe garage—with plenty of clearance, and don’t mind squeezing around tight spaces. I know people will drive these around cities with plans to escape on the weekends, but what a terrible vehicle for city driving.

I sort of agree, but.... that's what my wife's Prius is for

They're the size of a 1/2 ton truck or a full size SUV (Tahoe/expedition) and here in Texas these vehicles are everywhere. Most people drive them "around the city".
Sure a lot of places in the Northeast may be tighter spaces, but I can assure you that millions of people in the USA (especially in the south and west) drive vehicles this size everyday.
