  1. Harvester Real World Highway Range?

The smaller battery range and higher extender range makes the most sense for the EREV. The purpose of the EREV is to extend the range which makes long road trips less stressful without the need to worry about finding charging stations and waiting while it charges after you do find one. If it...
  2. Harvester Real World Highway Range?

This is the point where I think it loses people. When your range from the battery is gone, how much range do you get on JUST a tank of gas? Is it truly 350 miles (150 EV + 350 with the extender gets 500) So on a road trip you leave with a full tank and battery, go 500 miles...on your fill...
  3. Scout has 150K+ reservations now. 85% are for Harvester EREV Hybrid

Jeep/Stellantis already knows this is a failure before they are even hitting showrooms. That price point and the awful range is a joke. (Remember, the ID.Buzz didn't sell well here and was discontinued due to the high price and low EV range). Most that have actually driven the Buzz actually...
  4. Scout has 150K+ reservations now. 85% are for Harvester EREV Hybrid

I've also wondered this about the EREV... In my 4XE, the electric-only would be disabled due to it going into Fuel/Oil Refresh mode. I know the Scout won't be able to completely disable running on the battery but will it go into a mode that requires the generator to run if it hasn't in a while...
  5. Scout has 150K+ reservations now. 85% are for Harvester EREV Hybrid

The same argument for the new battery tech would negatively affect a true BEV more than the Harvester.
  6. Scout has 150K+ reservations now. 85% are for Harvester EREV Hybrid

It's a little crazy how much EVs trigger people too. It shouldn't be mandated...but what is the problem with having them as an option? What I don't understand is that the anti-EV truck people use the arguments about towing and how they can't tow their 5th wheel or can't load up 3 tons of...
  7. Scout has 150K+ reservations now. 85% are for Harvester EREV Hybrid

Well, brakes and oil... No oil changes and less brake changes as the EV motors are less on brakes. Now, the big question is, are tires replaced more often due to the increased weight of an EV? That would offset costs. (Not to mention if you keep the vehicle long enough to need to replace the...
  8. Power Rear Glass in the Liftgate

Having a roll-down window + cabana roof would make it feel more like an open air vehicle. I'd probably use that more than the split tailgate but at the same time I do love that split tailgate. Glass that flips up (like a Wrangler) doesn't seem like it's safe to drive with. Those struts would...
  9. Harvester Gas Tank location moved to under rear seats & batteries moved to front (tow rating benefit) ⛽️

Didn't you just bring up the charger and pump in the same spot? I was literally responding to your post regarding that.
  10. Harvester Gas Tank location moved to under rear seats & batteries moved to front (tow rating benefit) ⛽️

In all fairness, it takes a lot longer to charge a battery than fill a tank. Parking in front of a gas pump to charge would prevent the gas pumps from being used. Charging and filling at the same time would only really be applicable for PHEV and those with Range extenders. Might be easier to...
  11. Harvester Gas Tank location moved to under rear seats & batteries moved to front (tow rating benefit) ⛽️

I've noticed that Nouria stations have been installing EV Chargers. 3 near me have added them when converting from the gas station that was bought out.
  12. Scout Mobile App Spotted! [Video & Screenshots]

The gas tank is also only 50% full.
  13. Scout Traveler with 22" inch wheels & Terra coming to LA Auto Show

I wonder if it will have the tire carrier on the back with the different wheels. Might be the first time we see it without one.
  14. Harvester Selection -- use the gas engine to keep the batteries close to fully charged?

This is the question I had. It's 500 miles of range from a single fill-up and charge. The generator kicks in and slows down the depletion rate of the battery. If the battery is depleted after the generator tank is empty, will each fill-up get you an additional 350 miles or will it only be...
  15. SCOUT TRAVELER LIVE NYC!

This is taken from another post on these forums from back in November. I'm not sure how accurate they are. Looks like the Traveler is longer by about the size of the spare tire carrier on the Bronco. Scout Traveler SUV - 207.9 inch length (with rear mounted spare tire / carrier) - 190.9 inch...
  16. SCOUT TRAVELER LIVE NYC!

Now that I look at it more, it does look like the tailgate is designed with this in mind. If you look at the tie-down rails on the floor, they continue onto that flap that covers the gap when the tailgate is open. (I'm assuming those are tie-down rails)
  17. SCOUT TRAVELER LIVE NYC!

Can you close the upper portion of the hatch while the tailgate portion is down? This may be useful with hauling longer items if possible. (Obviously without the tire carrier). I wonder how easy it is to remove the tire carrier...for that infrequent trip to the lumber yard to grab some 2x4s.
  18. First Look! Scout Traveler in New Color "Pacific Mist Blue" (at NYC Debut)

This disappoints me a little. I'm coming from a Jeep and was hoping it was larger.
  19. First Look! Scout Traveler in New Color "Pacific Mist Blue" (at NYC Debut)

This is what I can't determine by pics and it's nice that you said that. Basing it on the Chevy SUV's...would you say it's Equinox, Traverse, or Tahoe sized?
