Air suspensions allow for height adjustment although at higher settings they lack compliance. Unfortunately, they have proven to failure prone on some vehicles as the get older and expensive to fix once they fail.
The height adjustment has aero/efficiency benefits and makes it easier to get...
I had a cabana style sunroof on one of my cars. Didn't have a heat issue. Always worked well, no issues with water getting in. It was manual. Easy to use. If I remember, I think the only maintenance i did was to spray and wipe the tracks with silicone lube once over about 5 years.
Fixed glass panoramic roofs don't appeal to me. Heavy/reduce payload and weight is high in the vehicle where you don't want it, expensive and let too much heat in. A lot of people with them get shades and never take the shades off so they are a waste. The sliding glass sunroof in my car is...
Actually, I think the Cabana top is less likely to leak since the material extends beyond the opening, so water is shed away from the roof. Mine never did but the glass opening sunroof on my BMW did when the drain lines plugged up.
Had this sort of aftermarket sunroof on an Alfa Romeo sedan years ago. Worked fine and was at least as good at keeping heat out/in as the original steel roof.
Telo make much more sense. More capability in an even smaller package. 4/5 passenger and still have the bed but can drop the midgate and carry a 4x8.
Personally, I prefer minimal connectivity/not to rely on it. The Sierra and Silverado EVs rely on AT&T, which is spotty where I live. If we have...
Interesting but it takes up a lot of bed space unless you remove it entirely. The flipping and rolling tonneaus usually only take up about 6 inches at the front of the bed. I do like that this one can be slid back and forth to access different parts of the bed.
I kind of like the BAK Revolver roll-up hard tonneau. Takes up little space when rolled up, locks down along its full length for security and seems to be among the most weather tight. It can also be easily removed. Is even available with T slots for accessories like racks...
I like the split tailgate as well. Being stature limited, it lets me reach further into the bed. It also lets me get loads on pallets all the way into the bed with the forks on my skid steer without having to shove the pallet off the tailgate and into the bed. Taking the tailgate off is...
I will hold judgement till we have real numbers but I am not optimistic that EREV towing capacity will be close to BEV if for no other reason than the Harvester engine is hung behind the rear axle. This shifts vehicle balance off of the front axle much like loads on a trailer hitch and results...
We have a Volt that runs on battery most of the time. The gas engine still takes maintenance and the intervals are surprisingly short. All you are really eliminating with the range extender compared to an ICE truck is the transmission and drive shaft. And you add a generator since the range...
My son has had a Chevy Volt for years...original range extender. For him it works well because, while most of his driving is within 30 miles, he does fairly frequently travel to see friends 150 miles away which is when having the ICE engine generator makes for a convenient trip.
However, since...
