Ford Lighting beat Cybertruck to the punch. Now looks as if Jeep will beat scout by year or so. Hope history doesn’t repeat and we don’t have a similar fail for these two contenders as Ford and Tesla did in their competition truck EV journey.
Have to be right in the middle, not to rushed but also not late to the EV game.
Sometimes you can do everything right and fate or circumstance still gets you.
EV downfall top ten.
Hope Scout offers a good lease, most all of these EVs for their own reasons lost 50%-70% value after three years if purchased outright.
So, it’s actually 12 but don’t count the two Teslas. LOL!
Been two years and the Cybertruck is still overpriced and used even higher, yet they are not selling?
Even holiday stuff gets discounted when the parties over?!
Those who follow the 100 year old dealership model needs to get over it!
It was fought in the past and they lost.
Back to the Future!
Why buy an overpriced marked up item made in China at a local brick and mortar store when you can buy five at the same price with free shipping online?!
So hoping for the EV Scout!
Hoping not to be a cash cow for VW, like Canoo, Sonders, Atlas did in the past five years.
So hope this ca get going and not be just bells a whistles to just to drive off in the sunset with investors cash?!
Not being a fear monger, but this is how it started with Canoo, they would drop off all media until they ran out of money and had to surface to beg for funding.
Apologies to all the optimistic Scout reservations holders, just bit low on trust with the Cyber truck bait and Switch, and Canoo and...
2027…please, oh please don’t let this turn out to be another Canoo pipe dream. Having lots of faith in this brand. Seen so many startup, never get started up.
Seen about a billion dollars go through Canoo’s hands and no product to show. LOL
Good question, State fairs are usually in September, at least for Washington State and October for Arizona. Scout can’t be at them all but good chance.
Or even worse, forbid they possibly go in the same direction as Canoo did. Too much time…never enough support and money.
Or even worse than that, keep moving forward like Tesla and offer a $69,990 EV only to release at $119,990 ?
Yes sir, location, location, location!
Hope Scout does well with limited service centers, many have tried and failed due to customer support/location.
Ford just gets by, barely . One drives into ICE dealership with a Lightning, and service looks like ????!
Fisker, Canoo, Lordstown Motors...
