Manufacturers need to address the following EV Towing scenarios:

80/20 rule people. I think the numbers are even higher than 80% of rez’s won’t ever tow. Scout’s priority is to get cars out and in the hands of consumers, make money and investors happy. They’ll worry about improving towing and other enhancements in future upgrades. But, until battery range and...

    Local dealership in Socal

Scout will be looking to see where Tesla, Rivian, Lucid have a presence. So we will certainly see something in West LA likely Century City and then probably one around Pasadena, Newport Beach and San Diego/La Jolla.

Yes Lexus also offers the smart glass electrochroamatic option, as does Polestar, VW (on ID.Buzz and ID.7). Again it’s a cost thing which I’m happy to pay for if offered. However, a simple automatic shade to me is still less costly, less complicated and more effective.

Revealed: Green Scout Traveler Off-Road Concept

Looks great but for a daily driver I’m not sure this is the most efficient setup for range. I would suspect this robs mileage for daily use due to rotating mass and larger contact patch. Again, it does look great and a much better setup for off-roading.

Time to give up the frunk (if you want the Harvester engine)...

How people can’t see the value of a secured frunk in a truck/SUV is beyond me. To secure anything of value in my Bronco I had to install a vault and even that has its space limitations. To secure a laptop, camera, firearm, other valuables in a truck and away from prying eyes is heaven sent. And...

Time to give up the frunk (if you want the Harvester engine)...

It still does plenty of truck things even if it may not meet your standards for towing. I mean it still is able to tow ? Even a Suzuki Samurai can tow. But seriously if you’re looking for a truck that can get to remote areas AND tow 10,000 lb, I just don’t see this EV as that truck. Let’s just...

Time to give up the frunk (if you want the Harvester engine)...

So you’re implying the mass consumers decided towing is the priority for an EV truck? And Scout delivering anything short of that makes them stubborn? if you want to tow, get a diesel truck. I could personally care less if this thing will tow my kid’s tricycle. Give me a frunk that I’ll use...

I genuinely love how passionate everyone is here about a vehicle that hasn’t been released yet. Good thing Scout didn’t ask us to cough up $200. OP should change the title of this thread to: 5+ pages of damn good reasons you should not get a Harvester.

Time to give up the frunk (if you want the Harvester engine)...

Silly question, but if we placed a deposit on a Harvester, are we able to change to BEV model before delivery or do we need to place another deposit? I really want to see the final electric-only range on the EREV to decide if it’s worth the range extender cost.

Time to give up the frunk (if you want the Harvester engine)...

This is a good point. But we will have to see where this ends up given the final product. That being said, Scout will have to make assembly and process decisions “today” based on current consumer demand and future orders. So the pressure to keep their commitments and promises is definitely...

Time to give up the frunk (if you want the Harvester engine)...

There’s likely to be a saying, once you go frunk… When Ford added a heat pump to the 2025 Mach-E recently, the design impact was having to reduce the size of the frunk by some 60% rendering it almost useless. Shots were fired. Unless you lived in a climate where you can leverage the heat pump...

Cabana top opening in action (videos)

Many EV vehicles with pano roofs seem to not offer an integrated shade (Tesla, Ford Mach-E, Volvo EX90) and I’m guessing it may be partly due to cost and part to battery usage. Putting on and taking off an external shade is an option but almost pointless as it becomes too burdensome, especially...

Do we know what the other roof options will be? Will there be a full pano roof with a shade? The cabana top is interesting. It’s one those cool things to have but most people will hardly use it. I feel a pano roof is much more practical and useful.
