TFLEV - first reaction and review of Terra & Traveler

Excited about the overall size and look of the Terra. Have high hopes. Nice to see some new up close videos though.

I want the swing-out spare tire carrier on the Terra!

Very cool! I would love a solution that rotates (like 9 o'clock to 1 o'clock) to clear the tailgate but not make the length ridiculous so you can open the tailgate and tire hitch in a closed garage.

I want the swing-out spare tire carrier on the Terra!

This is cool, but again a rotating one wouldn't increase the overall length when open and allow for use in smaller areas.

I want the swing-out spare tire carrier on the Terra!

Maybe a turning style like a tailgate mount that is rotated clock wise moving the tire from a 9 o'clock to 12 o'clock position with the rotation point being the low right passenger side corner just outside the tail bed opening.

I want the swing-out spare tire carrier on the Terra!

Maybe a split tailgate design like Dodge or Ford would help this? It would be cool to have under bed storage and a spare off the back tailgate in the Terra.

I want the swing-out spare tire carrier on the Terra!

Yeah I would also like something like that. Would be cool to see some creative ideas for how though. Don't want to make it impossible to open the tailgate in a garage with a swinging hinge spare. Rivian is near perfect with the enclosed bed tire storage. Again would be cool to see a original...

Time to give up the frunk (if you want the Harvester engine)...

The ergonomics are way different, I simply can hit a button and my frunk opens automatically and I'm able to easily grab everything and have it in a more organized storage area that's cleaner. Same thing with the gear tunnel, you can put select items that you still want to be heated and cooled...

Time to give up the frunk (if you want the Harvester engine)...

Seriously... The frunk is insanely valuable and utilitarian at it's finest. Again... I have a pickup truck that's undersized (²R1T³) and yet between the hardcover retractable bed and my front trunk and gear tunnel I have more total cargo capacity while having my two kids in car seats and my...

Time to give up the frunk (if you want the Harvester engine)...

You're absolutely right. I had a 2015 quad cab F-150 platinum with 6½' bed, and a Model S... I've never given up my frunk, but I have given up my ICE vehicles. My wife does have a Platinum TRD Spec Sequoia... So we can tow with that.

Time to give up the frunk (if you want the Harvester engine)...

Wow! My Model S (2015) I would put my fire gear in the frunk. My tesla never smelled like all the other guys smoldering pickups. The space was excellent! Same with left overs after leaving a restaurant. My buddy had a rear wheel drive Model S and you could put a spare tire in his frunk. It was...

A gear tunnel is incredible... But no frunk? That's a bridge too far. I wouldn't give up my frunk for anything.

Nice Scout interior photos w/ bench seats (front & rear)

I'm intrigued by it, the 6 seater. Rivian nailed it with the gear tunnel and Scout can do the same with the bench. Honestly, this size truck (Tundra'esq) with the rear roll down window, should it have a quality power tonneau and or topper option, I would absolutely go bench. As for the wood...

    New Terra Images

The bench does seem compelling at times and down right annoying if they don't do flip down/pop out storage well. Also how will it be to look at in the rear seat, but that's less of an issue. But a 6 person truck is kinda just awesome to think about. I feel like I'll end up doing the bench since...

Dislikes about your current vehicle that’s offered / solved by the Scout Traveler / Terra?

Size... R1T is a little too small for a growing family. Rear window doesn't drop down. Bed, would like a bigger bed. Kinda like the different frunk set up with the scout. I guess the harvester option is cool... Might stay full EV though.

What physical buttons/knobs/switches/controls do you need in your Scout?

Everyone here is hitting the nail on the head, but I just want to add buttons on the posterior of the steering wheel are so grossly underutilized. But please Scout allow both passenger and driver saved seat profiles. How hard is it to make so the driver can move the passenger seat remotely. I...

POLL: Who wants to see a 4 wheel steering option?

I'd be for it... Don't care how much it costs. It's incredible in the Hummer EV.
